Description: El Andador is a project that has been in the making for many years. An important aspect of the Aurelio Ortega walkway, in its almost 4 km in length, is that it provides accessibility and connection to the Light Rail Line 1 station with the Zapopan Centro station of the new Line 3, thus consolidating an urban planning and mobility project.

This project won the 2018 Mexican streets contest organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (SEDATU) as it is a public space that promotes sustainable, resilient, inclusive and safe mobility.

The Preva wooden benches that were chosen encourage contemplation of this wooded space; the benches have armrests thinking of a primary segment of the elderly population that visits this space. At intersections, the bollard BO-004 was chosen for its identity and cast iron head.
